| Dance Performance at City Hall Governing Bodies, a dance piece by Collage Dance Theatre, will be presented on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. in the Culver City City Hall Courtyard, 9770 Culver Blvd. This presentation is free to the public, no reservations are required, and plenty of free parking is available. Sign Up for Life Skills Lab Need help finding a job, re-entering the labor force, or finding a better job? The Culver Palms Life Skills Lab may be the place for you. Only a few openings remain for the free 10-week job preparation class, which begins Monday, Sept. 11, continuing through Nov. 17. Woman's Club Holds Summer Picnic The Culver City Woman's Club is celebrating their new officers for the year 2000-2001 with a summer picnic at Carlson Park. On Aug. 14 at 11 a.m., the new officers will be honored: President Lorraine Henderson, Vice President Karen Coyle, 2nd Vice President Verna Janis, 3rd Vice President Sue Tiru, Secretary Ruby Huber, Treasurer Verna Gale, Financial Secretary Wada Best and Parliamentarian Ethel Ashby. In-Line Skating Classes at Westside Extension Westside Extension, the community services program at West Los Angeles College, offers in-line skating classes on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning Aug. 16 and on Saturday, from 9 to 11 a.m., beginning Aug. 19. Classes are taught by California Skate School, Inc. at the West Los Angeles College campus, 4800 Freshman Drive, Culver City. Cost for either class is $20. Offer PACE Classes Pepperdine University and West Los Angeles College will offer PACE (Program for Accelerated College Education) Associate in Arts degree and Business-emphasis university transfer classes at Pepperdine's Corporate Pointe campus in Culver City, starting in February 2001. West's PACE classes allow students to attend class one night per week, view about one hour of educational video per week, and attend selected Saturdays, in a series of eight-week sessions.
