Ram Dass
The Path of Consciousness
"Last evening, here in Topeka, one of the journeyers on a path, a very, very old path, the path to consciousness, I, in a sense, met with the Explorers Club to tell about the geography I had been mapping. The people who gather to hear somebody called Ram Dass, formerly Richard Alpert, have somewhere, at some level, in some remote corner, some involvement with this journey. All that I can see that we can do with one another is share notes of our exploration. I can say, 'Watch out, because around that bend the road falls of sharply to the left...stay far over to the right when you do that'."

It has been more than 10 years since Ram Dass has taught at a retreat in the Southern California Desert area. Thanks to Ram Dass' willingness to come to the desert to "dance," we can invite you to share this experience.
Soul Dance will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening and continue until Sunday afternoon. It will move us to feel the soul rhythm, to learn new ways of moving spiritually, and then to fully participate in this most joyous of human experiences.
Since the Dance of the Soul is the only dance available to us on this journey, we may find in this dance a new beginning -- an opportunity to embrace all that is rare, undiminished, and essential, as we seize the moment and move with the music of our soul.
The music of the Dance is always with us. Sometimes it is very, very faint, but it is always on key and as true, as true can be. We answer it in our every daily action -- and in our every daily inaction.
We invite you to the dance. His dance ... Our dance ... THE dance.
