Ginger was first introduced to the powerful effects of meditation 20 years ago, and began her study of yoga postures ten years ago. Thomas Deldeo, her primary teacher, gave her a foundation in yoga based on respect, insight and compassion.
In 1992, Ginger left a career in banking and traveled extensively around the world. During two years of traveling she studied and practiced yoga in Bali, Thailand, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, London, Italy, Switzerland and the States. Her Hatha Yoga Teacher's Certification was completed with Ananda Yoga at the Expanding Light. Upon her return to Los Angeles she founded IN YOGA located in Marina del Rey, California.
Her belief is that the physical body is able to go deeper into the postures and meditation when it is gently guided from within as opposed to being forced into a certain look. Her approach is centered closely with a deep connection to the earth and its elements. Her classes range from gentle flowing postures to deeper physical challenges, yet they never sway from the ultimate purpose - peace. Ginger teaches group classes at IN YOGA as well as privately for individuals, couples and corporate groups. She is experienced in teaching workshops for teenage students as well as corporate retreat programs for adults focusing on stress management and physical fitness.
